Pecan Spice Bars with Brown Sugar Frosting
Snack bars full of spice and nuts. Iced with a tasty Brown Sugar Frosting, below.
Toast pecans 5-8 minutes. Let cool.
Prepare 8" [20 cm] or 7” x 11” [18 cm x 28 cm] pan by lining with foil.
Whisk together dry ingredients & set aside.
Cream together butter and sugars.
Spread into prepared pan and bake 28-33 minutes.
Remove from heat & let cool 5 minutes.
Add icing sugar and vanilla and beat until spreadable.
If icing seems too thin, cool further by setting the bowl in another bowl of ice water.
Spread over bars and top with pecan halves.
Cut into squares.
