Banana BarsSnack bars that make use of those very-ripe bananas.
In small bowl, combine flours, baking powder and salt; set aside. In large mixer bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla until creamy. Bake 25-30 minutes. Cool completely. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Makes about 6 ½ dozen bars. VARIATION: Omit whole wheat flour. Increase all-purpose flour to 2 cups (10 ounces [285 grams]). |
